MSJ Christmas Concert

[ December 4, 2008; 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. ] MSJ will hold it’s annual Christmas Concert in the Jennifer Bagley Theater on Thursday, December 4th at 7pm.

Counting on Grace

Something new and different is afoot on stage at MSJ this fall. Director Jennifer Bagley received permission from Elizabeth Winthrop, author of “Counting on Grace”, to adapt her award-winning novel to the stage. Bagley¹s two-act script is in rehearsal now, involving over 25 students, faculty and staff from both MSJ and Christ the King.

Musical Instruments Needed

The MSJ Music Dept. needs guitars — acoustic, base, steel string, electric — for all the students who want to take guitar lessons with Mr. Harding. Hihat Stand needed for DRUMS. Please HELP! Contact the front office or Mr. Harding if you have a guitar or any other musical instrument.

Berklee College of Music Grad Brings Experience and Skills To MSJ Community

Mark Harding, a performer-educator with over twenty five years experience covering the everything from chamber music to rock, will be establishing a new instrumental music program at Mount St. Joseph Academy next year. The goal of the new offering will be to establish a vibrant, diverse, and exciting program that will put music at the heart of the school community and the school at the heart of the music community.

My heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the extravaganza at MSJ last Saturday, May 21st. It is an honor to have the theater named after me, but even more an honor to have gathered with over 100 people that evening: former students, parents, families, faculty, staff, and friends. We gathered in the cafeteria, decorated with theater artifacts by Olivia Gawet.

Mount St. Joseph Academy Dedicates Theatre to Respected Teacher and Director Jennifer Bagley

Rutland, Vermont—Mount Saint Joseph Academy paid tribute to respected drama director and teacher Jennifer Bagley by naming the school’s theater in her honor at a celebration at the school on May 17, 2008.

“Jennifer Bagley’s efforts at MSJ in the classroom and in our theater has allowed thousands of students to excel in academic work, and artistic pursuits here at MSJ,” says Paolo Zancanaro, Principal of the school. “She has boundless energy and enthusiasm that reveals itself every day in her dedication to our students. Every school should have someone like her.”
